Baton Rouge, LA) - ValvTechnologies distributor Carter Chambers, LLC recently announced the merger with Desselle Maggard Corporation (DMC) that took place January 1, 2010. DMC is owned by PVI Holdings, the American subsidiary of the Dutch company, Pon Holdings. Both companies are located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and will combine products and services including a newly opened 65,000 square foot facility in Port Arthur, Texas. The new company will be called DMC- Carter Chambers. For ValvTechnologies it means an additional 24 sales people across the territory that DMC- Carter Chambers operates, which almost doubles the sales force serving ValvTechnologies. In addition, the merger means three locations are gained - Port Arthur, Houston and a second Baton Rouge location.
Carter Chambers, LLC services the refining, paper, marine, power, engineering, construction, and oil and gas industries. They specialize in all types of industrial valves, valve automation, instrumentation, filtration, and pressure relief valves and has been a distributor of ValvTechnologies for many years. Desselle-Maggard Corporation has focused on the chemical and refining industries in the Gulf area. Together they have over 400 employees and are one of the largest providers of industrial automation valve solutions in the South.
