Our Commitment to the Community

For more than 25 years, ValvTechnologies has played an important role in communities around the world. We are good neighbors where we live and active participants in various industry organizations. We are full-time corporate members of trade and professional associations worldwide.

There is far more than professionalism involved – and closer to home.  Another ValvTechnologies’ commitment is to support community programs in an effort to give back and support our community.

Organizations that ValvTechnologies employees participate in and the company donates to include:

  • The Avondale House – Serves to provide young adults with autism the education and training to develop to their fullest potential  ValvTechnologies has hosted a Christmas party at their facility every year for the last 22 years. ValvTechnologies donates gifts to the house guests and sings carols with them
  • Texas Children’s Hospital – Teams of ValvTechnologies volunteers visit Texas Children’s Hospital to brighten the kids’ day and hand out teddy bears
  • Salvation Army Angel Tree Program – ValvTechnologies employees “adopt” a child or senior citizen for the holidays and provide gifts requested on their wish list
  • Camp Eagle – A summer camp in west Texas focused on outdoor adventure and bible-based curriculum.  In addition to monetary donations to the camp, children of ValvTechnologies are offered scholarships to attend a week-long summer camp session. Transportation is also provided for the eight hour drive to the camp
  • American Cancer Society Houston Oscar Night – A live viewing party for the Academy Awards to raise money for the ACS. ValvTechnologies has been a sponsor for the last two years with employees attending the event
  • Empower UH – a University of Houston group working to address gender roles in the workplace
  • MD Anderson Blood Drive – Quarterly blood drives are held at the ValvTechnologies facility
  • YMCA Operation Backpack – A backpack/school supply drive is held in August. Whole departments get involved to purchase and put together the backpacks
  • Blessings in a Backpack – supplies non-perishable food to children on school meal programs that may not get enough food over the weekends
  • Raffles and food drives for those in need – includes local food pantries and animal shelters
